The install program for Grafikilo 16 is a Java archive file
named InstaluG16.jar. Click on this link
to download the file. Save it in a convenient location, such as on your desktop.
It is necessary to set the downloaded file's permissions, to allow it to run as an executable program.
Do a right button click on InstaluG16.jar, and select 'Properties' from the pop-up menu, as shown below.
In the Properties dialogue, select the Permissions tab (at top), and put a mark in the checkbox labelled Execute.
You should now be able to start the installation by double-clicking on the installer (assuming your computer has Java installed). The dialogue shown below will appear.
The selector at the top of the dialogue selects the language of the installer, not the language of Grafikilo 16 itself. Currently the installer supports English, Esperanto, Italian and Finnish. I will be happy to support other languages, if I receive a translation. The texts to be translated are here: InstaluG16.properties.
Click on OK to start the installation. A blue progress bar will appear at
the bottom of the dialogue above. When the installation is finished, a dialogue
with the text 'Finished / Finita' will appear for a few seconds.
The installer puts a symbolic link (or 'desktop shortcut') on the desktop. The link's icon should be 'G16' in a speech bubble, as shown at right. If it is not, do a right button click on the file (Grafikilo16.desktop), open Properties, go to Permissions, and put a check mark in the Execute checkbox, as was described above. The link should start to display the 'G16' icon.
Double-click on the link to start Grafikilo 16.
